golf licence.
A Handicap Index will be issued to a player after they have completed 54 holes in any combination of 9 or 18-hole rounds.
- Each score must be an acceptable score for handicap purposes.
- Scores can be submitted in any combination of 9-hole and 18-hole scores and there is no time limit.
- The maximum hole score when a player has yet to establish a Handicap Index is par+5.
- Subject to any restrictions set down by the Mauritius Golf Federation (for example, the designation of an inactive season), scores can be submitted from any course that has a valid Course Rating and Slope Rating and certified by any person that meets the criteria set down by the MGF Handicap Committee.
- A player wishing to get a hcap index must submit at least one card signed by a Teaching Pro/Golf Director. The latter must recommend a starting handicap index for the player and ensure that he has knowledge of the basic rules and the etiquette.
The player must submit all documents by mail.
