The Mauritian Golf Federation provides you with a licence that is renewable every year.
By becoming a member of the MGF, you will be able to track your golf progress and obtain an official handicap. Having an official handicap is key in order to participate and be eligible for any amateur competition in Mauritius. It also adds a level of fairness to reflect each member to make it the equitable game we love. From our website, a tracker of your handicap providing you statistics on your game is available. It also provides you with a handicap certificate, which means you may participate in competitions around the globe accordingly.
Becoming a member also covers you with an insurance protecting you against a wide range of accidents that may happen on a golf course.
With its website, you will also be able to gather information on what is happening in the Mauritian golf community. It gives you an updated schedule of the competitions to come and the results of the previous ones in addition to key factors such as the handicap rules, affiliated golf courses, teaching pros, regional golf clubs and others.
